Getting pictures to Watson family...
Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum and have a question about an 1880s family album in my possession, containing 58 photos in pristine condition. My parents inherited it in about 1980 and when they died in 2002 it went to my younger sister. She died last year and it came to me. In sleuthing FamilySearch, I'm pretty sure it belongs to the WATSON family, and was likely given to Isabella Watson's (KWJ8-MG7) daughter, Winifred Wilson, who had no children and was cared for by her half sister, my grandmother, in her final years. I tried to match faces in the Watson line to faces in the album and I'm 90% positive I found matches. I'm not a Watson.
I'm having a tough time contacting members of the Watson family. I've reached out but received no response. Can anyone give me guidance on this?
Thanks a million.

Even if you dont make contact with living members of the Watson - at least at this time - please consider having the album digitized and uploaded to FamilySearch Memories.
so that it can be preserved for generations to come.
a treasure worth preserving - even if you are not currently successful in finding family.
I work on a project where we attempt to do similar work - for Family Bibles (thousands of them)
More important that just finding family that might be interested in accepting the physical item - is ensuring digital copies of such records are created and preserved and made part of a system that will be around for decades if not centuries to come.
doing so will ensure that even if at the moment - no one seems to be interested - that some time - some where - a descendant will find these digital records and treasure them even if it is years or decades into the future.
Please place just as much focus on preserving the record - as finding famliy to accept it. so that no matter what happens to the physical item - digital versions will live on forever.

Thank you. I will. And then I'll take the album and contents to SLC, where I will find a safe place for them.

I doubt Salt Lake will accept the physical volume.
They will accept digital copies.
