Request Permission/Resources for Ideas
When submitting an Idea - I think it makes sense to compare the current interface/workflow - how FamilySearch currently works - with how the Idea wants it to change/work.
I just want to make sure that - that usage of FamilySearch's interface in such a comparison - either in low-fidelity screenshots/wireframe or higher fidelity prototype - is allowable and fair use? Especially since it is an Idea being submitted to FamilySearch!
Are there such resources available for use? Is the beta site/interface fair game? Starting from scratch - cutting and pasting is a barrier.
If such is not currently available and the Idea would be of use - making Ideas easier to view in Community - perhaps there could be a downloadable share of interface components for such Community use? Maybe make downloadable component bundles - Indexing, Search, Family Tree/Family Tree Mobile App, Places, Memories, Planner, Family Groups, Source Box ...?
With the way I envision some of the Ideas I have - it would be easier to show how I envision them working within the current interface - if such resources were made available.
To be clear (for others that may read this) - I am not requesting access to any code - only interface components. A prototype of an Idea just displays that vision but doesn't actually code much.

One additional benefit of such an arrangement - would be that the images are already moderated. Of course the edits wouldn't be - but the beginning state would be.

The help center article above seems to imply that since screenshots are acceptable that perhaps this Idea could also be workable? Accessing such component resources directly from FamilySearch or beta.familysearch.org would assure that the latest/current interface components were used in Ideas. I just don't want to have to reinvent the wheel if I don't have to...

I've been taking screen shots for years and using them as a basis for discussion or to request modifications. I often take those images, throw them into Photoshop to demonstrate my request, and post them. No one has ever complained and only very rarely get rejected by the moderating software.

👍 Thanks Gordon, I figured I could go ahead. I guess I'll get to cutting and pasting - and rebuilding the wheel to present ideas.
