Add parishes to Copenhagen place names

I am currently trying to research several families in Copenhagen who have similar names. Since they all live in and around Copenhagen it is hard to distinguish which individuals belong together. Currently, the only standard place for Copenhagen is Copenhagen, Copenhagen and its historic variations. Being able to assign the parishes where children were baptized would be helpful for determining which children belong to which couples. This would be consistent with other parts of Denmark, e.g. your can assign each of Aalborg's three parishes separtely. Please add the Dankse Kirke parishes to Copenhagen place names. This will make it easier to group families correctly and track family migrations in and around Copenhagen.

You can suggest additions to the Places database using the "Suggest A New Place" link at the top left of the Places tool (https://www.familysearch.org/research/places/?pagenum=1&pagesize=20).

In the meantime, you can add the parish to the displayed placename by simply typing it in and choosing the reddish text at the top of the drop-down.

(Sorry, I don't know the names of any of Copenhagen's parishes, so I just used "Parish".) Choosing that top line keeps what you typed for the displayed placename, and associates it with the next (and in this case only) line down for the location of the map pin.

Some pages in Family Tree always use the display name, while others always use the standardized name for place conclusions, so you will not always see the parish if it's entered this way, but the Details page uses the display name, and that's what's most useful for comparing profiles.

And do not be mislead by the term standard. We have never been limited to entering just what is currently available in the drop down menus. As Julia demonstrates, you can add just as much to the place name as you need to in order to keep straight who is who. The following is correctly entered and correctly standardized:

Hovering over the place name shows linked standard. Here I've used the city division rather than the parish. I generally just use the parish name in the Christening place field.

Thank you for your responses. I've found the missing parish designations.
