I know it might sound morbid, but one of my favourite parts of the Norwich Records Office website has been the collection dealing with (19th century) Coroners' Inquests. (Can't find the link at the moment.) From the very sad to the almost bizarre, it also provides an insight to the way of life at the time: including deaths from falling from a horse, and nightdresses having caught alight by a spark from an open fire.

However, the list Dennis provides takes some beating!
