Viewing Memories in chronological order
My process was as follows, but the expectation is not what I expected:
1) Using the Filter, I selected the View and Sort of ALL memories to be Chronological, as shown below (top portion of photo).
2) Next I opened and edited the "Event Date" from the Details section (right column) of each memory, and the memories then automatically adjust to the correct Chronological Sort and View on the Persons Memories tab, as I expected.
3) Next I selected and opened the first memory (now in Chronological Sort and View order) and advanced to the Next memory using the "< Previous / Next >" selection option (bottom portion of attached photo below). Question: How is it supposed to work?
Expectation: I was expecting that the Filter would allow me to View the Next memory in Chronological order from the Previous memory, but not sure what is happening.... It seems that the program may be advancing memories (incorrectly?) by Newest Added, and that the "Event Date" is not being considered by the program, which is what I would logically expect to happen.
Is this a known bug being worked on, or is this the expected functionality by design?

@Ottley BQ I've been told this feature is part of the memories 2.0 release along with being able to update the date of a memory that you did not add. As @Gordon Collett mentioned it's just a symptom of incompatible new and old systems.

I doubt the Previous and Next buttons on the page to view individual memories is going to work properly until that individual memory page is updated. The old pages don't support the sorting at all. If you are on the new Memories page and click on a memory, you immediately leave the new pages and are back in the old pages.
I wouldn't consider this a bug, but more of an incompatibility problem between an old and a new system.

I'm on the New Person Page, and also use the New Home Page features. The functionality you suggest, "If you are on the new Memories page and click on a memory, you immediately leave the new pages and are back in the old pages", does not appear to "leave the new pages" that I can discover when I click on a memory.... I'll wait for someone like @lyleblunttoronto1 or a moderator to respond before I accept the answer you have provided, but thanks for trying.

@lyleblunttoronto1 thank you for the information; I like that extra bit of being able to "update the date of a memory that you did not add"!
The average user, like me, has a hard time distinguishing what's old and what's new on the "new old system". Is there a single place where one can see the grand plan showing what's been implemented (in part even, which is apparently true for the Memories page, as Gordon suggested), and what's coming even though dates may not be included?
Thank you for helping us through this conversion with official insider information!

I don't know of any public road map for development work besides the blog posts. Priorities tend to be fluid at times. I'm sure they are just trying to not make promises that won't be kept.

I've been posting photos in memories and it's important for me to have them in chronological order. I've used the year at the beginning of my title and I've also put the dates in the right side of the page. When I use the filter and sort them by either title or chronological order they do show that way on the page. But if I click on a photo and then want to right click to get to the next photo so that I can view them in order, it jumps all over the place. Is there a way to fix this so you can see everything in chronological order as you click through? It tells their story better and if my nieces and nephews get on to look at pictures of their grandparents I would want them to see their lives from when they were young until they were old and then died.
Thank you.
