Residence On "ABOUT" page Not Supported in DETAILS.
Hi,
This is my first post/question to the group. I hope someone can help me.
Re: https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/about/K67D-69M
On the ABOUT page, it is said: "He lived in Töv, Mongolia in 1910 ..."
I am unable to find any data or source on the DETAILS page that supports this, so I am unable to remove it.
Can anyone offer a suggestions?
Thanks

Somehow -- don't ask me how! -- his 1910 census residence of "Emma, White, Illinois, United States" has gotten associated with Töv, Mongolia as the standardized location.
To fix this, click the edit/pencil next to the 1910 residence conclusion, then click in the box containing "Emma, White, ...". You'll get a drop-down containing the current text in a reddish font, and an entry for "Emma Township, White, Illinois, United States". If you choose the reddish text, the display will not change, but the associated standardized place (map pin) will change to "Emma Township". If you choose Emma Township, then the display and the associated standard will both change to "Emma Township".

If you go to the Other Section you will see a Residence for 1910. Click Edit on that entry and a Pop Up will show you the place of residence DISPLAY place of Emma, White, Illinois, US but the Standardized Place shows Tov, Mongolia. If you correct the Standardized place then the About page will change. It may take a few days for that to happen. In short the About page is reading the incorrect Standardized date.

Julia and Chas, thank you so much. I was fairly certain my grandpa never went to Mongolia :-)

TerryWinchester I once had ancestors who lived in Knox Co Indiana, but (in 1818) were married in Knox Atoll, Marshal Islands. THAT marriage record could not be edited and after posting it in the community, someone was able to fix it.
In the meantime, I had visions of Scottie beaming them to the Pacific, or maybe an alien abduction. It does appear to be a good place for a honeymoon. It is uninhabited, which begs the question of why it is in the location database, but I won't go there...
