sort dates?
Is there anyway to sort the many dates or to select on the seems to be more correct under marriage? My ancestor peter Ramseyer LHSQ-783 has two marriage dates one the 27th and the other the 30th. Looking at the sources, it appears the 30 is correct but I can't find a way for that one to display and the 27th to show as a secondary one. I don't want to delete it because one source does say the 27 if you can find it on the original record, which I can't. but the 30th is easy to read.

No, it's always the earliest event that displays, @Chas Howell. Entry order only comes into play if everything else is identical.
The only way to get the later date to display is to delete the earlier one, or to edit it so it's later (such as "before 1822"). One way to preserve the earlier date is to enter it as a custom event under Other Information. (Yes, you'll need to do that twice, once for each spouse.) Another way is to move the date information to the Reason box, although of course this will render it nearly invisible, since it takes two clicks of pencil icons to see the reason attached to a relationship event.
Note that simply deleting the day or day and month would have the opposite of the desired effect, since "November 1821" is sorted as "1 November 1821", and "1821" is sorted as "1 January 1821".

Oh, I always thought it displayed the first event entered. Thanks for the correction @Julia Szent-Györgyi !

I know nothing about Swiss records but have to make one clarification and ask a question:
1) The source does not say they were married the 27th. The transcription of the source has that date. If you can't check the actual source, that is the original record, you really don't know what the record says. If it is a restricted record, you may need to go to a local Family History Center to view the actual source.
2) Why does one entry say they were married in Lauperswill and the other Signau? Are these the same place? Or are these actually two different couples?

Why does one entry say they were married in Lauperswill and the other Signau?
Swiss marriages could be registered in multiple parishes, depending on where the parties and/or their families lived. This was not usual, but also not rare. I have encountered marriages recorded in Switzerland that actually took place in the Netherlands.
If there are images then it may be possible to determine where the marriage probably occurred; the second registration usually was delayed, and evidence of this delay may be found in the date of the preceding marriage in that register.

No way to sort the marriage events currently. The only way I know of right now is to reenter the events order. The first one entered will be the Display date.

thank you everyone. Great information for me. I'll do a little more research. It is so helpful to be able to ask these questions. I'm just starting on the research end and this has been an enlightening experience. Thanks again.
