Index of images on a DGS which say what records start where
I have been going through some films for Torino and they are unfortunately out of order and the title gives just
a general category. I just finished going through DGS 7849046, which has 2232 images as I'm searching for a specific date range (April 1885) and a specific hospital (St Mauriziano) . Unfortunately the description of the film does not narrow down anything.
I created a spreadsheet which gives a bit more information that is contained within a range of images. I.e.
One would still need to go through a lot of images as they are not always in chronological order and some ranges have an oddball document inserted, but I thought that maybe this would be of use to expand the descriptions of the contents of the Film. Just figured that since I've already done the work that it might benefit someone else. I have attached the spreadsheet here.
This does not seem to fall into the usually category of indexing from what I saw on the web page.

Waypointing the film to group images even further may indeed be a useful Idea.

After clicking through thousands of records on multiple films, I finally found the record I was looking for...under the Military hospital section; he was not military. So as I said previously you have to consider the categories in the spreadsheet as very general guidance!
