What state would it be? Tennessee or Paris. I know Paris is not a state. I just want to make sure.

Please provide the Batch ID number for any specific questions. You can find it at the top of your page at the end of the project title in brackets [XXXX-XXX]. It will be a combination of 7 letters and/or numbers.

Or from the menu, choose Batch / About Batch:

That way the volunteer(s) will be able to see the project batch you are working on (if it is not a closed group project). The link(s) you are providing have all been restricted.

If you are working on a closed group project, this community in unable to view project batches. Please contact another member in that group and/or your project leader.

Thank you for sharing the link to your batch. Unfortunately, it is restricted from my view. This could happen for a number of reasons, but, especially once the batch has been submitted it is no longer "shareable".

In any event, you would type what was written on the document. If Paris was on the document in the state field, then you would index Paris. Our task is to transcribe what is written on the document, not to interpret what is written. Here is a knowledge article on Indexing Incorrect Records.

With the batch code I was able to open the batch.

"Paris Guards" is the name of the military unit. There is not a field for this information.

Tennessee is the state. You have listed that correctly.

    The year is 1836.

The next 2 images would have Georgia indexed for the state. #3 Ga = Georgia

The field help states: If the state has been abbreviated or misspelled on the image, choose the expanded version or the correct spelling.

    Hope this helps.🙂
