I am not making much progress with making friends with the new person page when it comes to attaching resources. It is very busy and colorful and there are so features I like, but it is so busy if find myself switching back to the old version to make get rid of the distracting "glitter" that doesn't add to the information so I can make sense of what is happening and to actually attach the record.

I like that the attaching explanation gives you the option to check the boxes about your concern with you do not find a matching record.

There are a lot of discussions in the New Person Page group regarding the features of the new pages: https://community.familysearch.org/en/group/316-new-person-page You should join that group and express your concerns there. The designers and engineers have been very responsive over the past months to user requests for modifications to the new pages. I wish I had a screen shot of the new Details page from when it first was released months ago to be able to compare it to the current version. There have been dramatic changes.

However, to make any improvements, the engineers need specific, clear, detailed comments. For example, what is "distracting 'glitter'" and how it is interfering with your work?
