Dutch Reformed - In this batch the page numbers do not match the Father's names.

I looked at your batch and the film on the 6th, but, hoped someone would comment.
I'm sure you probably erased the Father's names as that would have been the correct thing to do. There really wasn't a way for the indexer to make that assumption from the reference images (although they may have indeed had the same father based on the surnames and the numbering system).

It looks like I will have to ignore the page numbers from now on. All the last names matched up. I didn't see the need to erase them. I will from now on because it saves time. I just wanted to confirm this issue. Parents names are not that critical. Thank you for answering me.

The surnames did match and the page numbers were in order, but, your image wasn't a continuation of the previous image, so we wouldn't use it to seek out names. The previous image was from Dec 8, 1870 baptisms and this one was from March 3, 1871. The first entry was for a man who was 27 years old, and the "father" that the indexer listed with him was 25. They may have been brothers - but even that would be an assumption.
