Estimated Death Date vs Found Date

Hello! I'm working on the project US, California, Oakland—Coroner Index Cards, 1926–1988[MQ9C-VDD]. One particular card lists both an estimated death date and a found date because they were a homicide victim and were found around a week after their death. I'm not sure whether to index the estimated date or the date they were found.

The project instructions specifically say:

"When encountering an image with a date range, index the most recent date only."

This isn't specifically a date range, so I wanted to see what others thought before I make a decision.

On second thought, now that I'm re-reading it, it seems very black and white. I'll put down the found date.
