Print Details

I, like others, travel to go to the temple. While on the way there, I like to review details about my family member that I am performing ordinances for. So I print out details about the person and read about them on my travel. The way to print the details is rather cumbersome.

I first select the About page and print that. I then select the Memories page and print that. Then select the TimeLine and need to grab a picture of that, sometimes multiple pages as many family members have multiple entries that just scroll on and on. Lastly I select the View Relations to show where on my tree my relative is and how related. Then combine all the information onto as few sheets of paper for review. If this information was easily collected and sorted for easy printing, it would ease the frustration of putting all the information together for printing.

I hope this is something that can be looked into as I expect others would take advantage of it as well.

It is nice to get to know the person some prior to visiting the Temple.

Thank you,

Greg Steward

Here is a Help Center document about printing your Family Tree (when it says find the person you want at center... just use yourself).

Thread comments: Great Idea. If you use a smartphone - you could paperlessly browse the same information on your phone with Family Tree app (Android or Iphone/ipad) - of course there is the separate Memories app as well.

@Greg Steward, Sr. I understand some are more familiar with printed pages - and that is fine. But to edit/merge all the items could take a bit of document processing - so your Idea has merit (I just don't know if FamilySearch will put such a packet print capability at the forefront of the development). From the New Person Page> Tools (lower right-hand)> Print> Person Details - that should help you somewhat - but you will still need to collect the other items you like to print.
