I am trying to view film # 5539505 (Resuttano Italy Nati, SCI-53, 1918) at the Owego New York FHC

This film is locked, however it says "This film is viewable with additional restrictions." how do I go about viewing this film?

Thank you,

@Tony Frustino Welcome to FamilySearch Community!

I tried your link and got the following message: "This image is unavailable for online viewing at this time."

I have had no other luck when searching the Images or Catalog tabs. I wish I had a better answer for you.

    Maile 🙂

@Tony Frustino has the FamilySearch extension (Chrome or other browser) been installed on the computer you are using at the FHC?

    The catalog entry is https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/2044281

Possibly the unavailability is to do with the date of birth.

I tried some of the other records and for the previous year Nati, SCI-52, 1917  film 5539504

    the message was

    Images Available

To view these images do one of the following:

    • Access the site at a FamilySearch center.
    • Access the site at a FamilySearch affiliate library.

However, for 1918 and subsequent years for Nati, the message was "This image is unavailable for online viewing at this time." However, for deaths and marriages for 1918, the message is that they are available at FamilySearch centers or affiliate libraries.

I would have thought the cut off period for births would have been 100years, but perhaps for these records it is a bit longer?

Maybe you could contact the Family History Library for clarification?
