What does the bracket mean in this situation?
So, I'm trying to index this record for mortgagors (S, New York, New York County—Indexes to Mortgagors, 1754–1890). By the way, I'm a newbie at indexing. I just started today. But anyways, this entry has multiple given names with a bracket, what does it mean?
Thank you!

This means that each person is under the same transaction and will need their own entry with East River Savg's. Everything will be the same except for the given name.
In the future, please post the batch code instead of a screenshot. This makes it easier for someone to help. The batch code looks like [1111-AAA] and is located at the top of the indexing screen, under Batch ---> About Batch or Help ---> Share Batch.
Feel free to keep asking questions. It can be overwhelming at first, but it does get better, I promise :)

My bad, let me supply a picture with more details:
Mortgagor (Far left), Mortgagee (East River Savgs Instn), Liber. (2346), Page number (136)

From the screenshots, I would assume it meant all three shared the surname ISRAEL.
However, for advice from experienced indexers it is best to post such queries under the Indexing (not Family Tree) category, providing the batch number so that others can access the complete page.
