I've been unable to view Film # 1996812 online, or at my local research center.

The firm is titled:{Nacimientos 1900-1930 -- Matrimonios 1900-1950 -- Defunciones 1900-1990, 1992-1995) At one time I was able to view it, download the documents, then one day it was closed.

I tried to get access through FHL Remote Access, but got a reply that there are restrictions on this film and that images could not be shared. Only names, dates, cities and countries.

Thee response also suggested that as an individual, that I maybe able to gain access to the film in person at the Salt Lake FHL?

How can I confirm this before heading to Salt Lake?

Thank You

I am not connected with FamilySearch

The catalog entry for film #1996812 is https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/704860

This indicates that the film is held at the Granite Mountain Record Vault.

My understanding is that all microfilms can be viewed at the Salt Lake City FHL. However films at the Granite Mountain Record Vault must be pre-ordered (more than a week in advance) so that they are available when you visit the FHL, see https://www.familysearch.org/en/library/microfilm-fiche-and-cds#microfilm-fiche

Since all films have now been digitized, there should no longer be a need to order films in advance. While you can't view them "online" at home, at your local Affiliate or your local Family History Center, you can view them on the computers in Salt Lake.

Note that Film 1996812 is DGS 7638882. The DGS (Image Group Number) indicates that the record exists in digital format.

You may be able to obtain copies of specific records using the Remote Lookup Service. Family History Library Remote Access Services Request (Page 1 of 4)
