Why did you add another step to the Family Tree search?
I use the FT to see who may have sources to be attached. Yesterday and today (11/22 & 11/23), I find that when I click on someone, instead of opening this person's page, I get another page that just gives me the name, dates, number of sources attached, etc. It is crazy. This is not needed. You are trying to work you way into a job! If it works, SAVES TIME, leave it alone, please.

I have not noticed any recent change in behaviour. When clicking on the name of an individual (from their father's page, for example) it is usual to be presented with a box / summary card showing these basic details. From there you have a choice of opening their Person page or going to a landscape view of their branch in the tree. Even if this is "another step" from what you believe you experienced in the past, as an everyday user, I can't say it ever worries me to make a single, extra click to reach the page I need.

I very seldom use Find (or Search - Family Tree, which is the same thing), so I don't know if there has been any recent change, but the behavior I'm observing is that clicking anywhere in the gray box that isn't a name opens the person's Details page in another tab. Clicking a name (i.e. moving my cursor so that the name is underlined and then clicking once) opens the summary card/flyout; clicking again in the same place (or double-clicking right off the bat) opens that person's Details page in the current tab.
Hmm: I seem to recall a weird bug, wherein clicking a result resulted in the same page being opened in two tabs. I don't remember if that was Find or Search, but in any case, my usual workflow/methods didn't encounter it, because I'm in the habit of right-clicking things on FS (because of the unpredictable behavior of left-clicks). Did they fix that bug, resulting in the change of behavior that Janie Ruthie is noticing?

As "usual", Julia has probably understood your issue better than me! However, here is a "third example" of where you might be finding this problem. As Julia suggests, it is probably best to get into the habit of right-clicking the mouse. Firstly, with FamilySearch, you can never be sure if a page will open in another tab automatically or not - if the latter (and you have left-clicked) you will have to use the Back arrow to get back to the previous page.
So, in the example below, a left click on the name (John Parsons - bottom right of the screenshot) will take you to his summary card, but a right click directly to his Person / Details page. You will still need a further right click (after a left click), otherwise you will "lose" the Search page! Opting to right-click can save unnecessary effort (clicks) and inconvenience (Back arrow to get back to your original page).
It follows that, even in the example shown in my first post, a right-click would have opened Frederic Parsons' Person / Details page, instead of displaying his summary card.
