Hi, That batch is fairly difficult to read. It does look a bit like (Eng) but it was hard for me to tell where the bracket ended and the letters started. What ever it is I believe it can be safely left off as the instructions say:

When typing the name of the mortgagor or assignor, do not include descriptive words or terms, such as "by Atty," "et al," "wife," "heirs," "and spouse," or "trust" that may have been written with the name.

I believe the given Name is Evaline, but I couldn't be positive about that either.

Hope this is of some help

I agree with Larry’s bottom line - that it should be ignored. But the last part of the abbreviation is the word of, as in, perhaps, Ex of - perhaps standing for “Executor of.” Look to the associated Mortgagee and you’ll see another abbreviation that should also be ignored - Trus of - perhaps standing for “Trustee of.”
