Deleting duplicate marriage events

Are you working from the old person page or the new format? Are the multiple events or just multiple sources attached to a single event?
On this profile, LHJR-218, for Robert Lee Burgess, there were multiple events created when several sources for the same event were attached. I removed the duplicate events a few weeks ago, leaving just a single event, with multiple sources attached.

If I view Robert's profile in Beta, which does not update from the changes I made in the real profile, I can see that there are still 3 events attached. Clicking the pencil icon to the right of the extra events gives me the option to delete those events.
Hope this helps.

Continuing Áine's advice, after clicking the edit (pencil) button, you'll probably need to scroll down to find the "Delete Event" link.
The process is much the same in the old interface; only the labels and exact button/link locations have changed.

Thanks, Julia. I think the Community still has issues displaying 2 images in one comment, and I didn't want to risk losing both.

The DELETE EVENT button is not working, as of yesterday, 14 June 2024. When you try to delete duplicate or incorrect marriage events, you get an error message. Please fix it.
