I inadvertently added a person to my tree, thinking it was my mother and a married surname.

However this person is not my family, how do I delete her from my tree?

In the Family Members section of either your own or the incorrect person's profile detail page, find where you're listed under the incorrect parent and click the edit (pencil) icon to the right of your name. In the resulting popup, click "remove or replace" below the incorrect mother and follow the prompts to remove your relationship to the incorrect person.
