How do I separate one household into two in the 1950 Census?
Two families are listed as one in the Record Hint. A look at the census document makes it clear they are separate households so they shouldn't appear in Source Linker as one family. I can't see in the editing portion of 1950 how to separate them into two households.

There is no splitting the household after indexing. Instead, this is what we do to keep the households separate in Family Tree:
In the Source Linker attach the record to Family Tree profiles of all deceased members of one household. Then use the link on the left just above the Source Linker to go to the Record Details page. On the Record Details page click on any member of the other household. That returns you to the Source Linker where you can attach all deceased members of that household.
If living persons are on the record, you can visit the source lists of all the deceased persons (in both households) and DISMISS the message about record attachment not being complete.

@SueCarey The 1950 US Census is still a work in progress for FamilySearch. A special team is working to fix things like inaccurate household groupings. When they finish, additional editing options will be available to you, including fixing household groupings.
