A few months back they made a change in the system and reviewers no longer have access to the reference images. It does make it difficult some times. You can use the batch information and check on the original records most of the time.
The previous page to the one you are working on has a notation that the preceding births are from 1856. Four pages after you find the year listed as 1857. You could also see that the line numbers start at #1 again on the image you are working on and increase until you get to the page with 1857 listed as the date.
With these observation in mind I would say that the correct year for this image is 1857.
Hope this helps.

The reference images are normally visible. The only ones who can't see them are those looking at a shared batch. But when we're indexing or reviewing we can see them... except for once in a while (like today) they're not showing up and you get the forbidden thing. I bet tomorrow you'll be able to see them. I quit indexing this afternoon when that glitch happened.

barbaragailsmith1 thank you for correcting my error. Yes the change only affected the shared batch process.
My brain must have been partially off! Hope I got the rest of the answer right.

That's so funny, Larry, because once I told someone the same thing... and I really knew better! I hate those gremlins in out brains.
