Reserve specific ordinances from those shared with temple

I often come across ancestors whose ordinances have been shared with the temple. I would like to do them, but I don't have a team readily available to do baptisms, so I wish I could reserve the other ordinances without having to reserve the baptisms and confirmations. I realize I would need to wait for the baptisms and confirmations to take place, but this would give me an opportunity to participate in temple work for more of my ancestors by completing their other ordinances even if I'm not able to participate in baptisms in this phase of my life. When my kids are older, I will have a team readily available for baptisms :)

I agree with this suggestion. It would also give an opportunity for other family members who are able to do baptisms and confirmations to complete those ordinances, allowing the person who reserved them to then do the other saving ordinances.

This is a frustration for me as well. I can pick which ordinances to do when I am the first in line, or if I am doing the ordinance now choice, but when I want to help my ancestors, but someone has shared with the temple, I have to take them all, but I don’t have help to do the baptisms and confirmations. It should be set up just like the other function, where I can choose which ordinances to claim from those shared with the temple so those I cannot do ( baptism and confirmation) can be left on the shared list while I complete the other ordinances in their proper order.
