Let's add a "Save Name to Print Queue?"

I waste a lot of paper, printing out new names for ordinance work, since I cannot "queue up" several names and then print all out at the end of my session to do Baptisms, Initiatory, or Sealings.

How about, once you have claimed a name to do temple work, they add a button called something like "Save Name to Print Queue?" Then after a few hours of work, l can go to that option and print out several names at a time, printing 3 names on each page instead of one name per page, printing as you go. Can the IT programming team look at this idea?

Or when you take to temple from your reservations list - you can select which to print. The reservation list is your queue.

At the end of your work session, after you have reserved all the names you are going to for the time being, go to your Reservation list, as @genthusiast states, click on the Filter button, click on Perform Next, set it for the type of ordinance you want to print, sort on descending Date Reserved to see first the ones reserved that day, click off however many you want to print, up to a max of 50, then print.

Just before printing, your page will look like this (the light blue filter button are the ones that are selected):

This works great. It is generally best to only print out the cards for one temple trip the day (or night before) you are going to the temple so you don't have huge stacks of card lying around.

When I spend 3-4 hours going through records to link, i often find 5-20 new names to submit to family search/temple ready, and find i am related to several. I waste a lot of paper, printing one name at a time, as I go.

I find that if i ONLY reserve a particular new name (and don't print it right out then), that later it is hard to find it to print out its name card. If I use a filter of "not printed" or "next ordinance," I find that the filter search is weak, and gives me a long list of names, who aren't what I am looking for (eg if i am searching for all persons who now need their initiatory or endowment performed (eg already baptized), that my search also yields all the people whose cards are not yet printed but still need baptism/confirmation first).

That is why I print out name cards "as I go," as i find new names i am related to. But I waste a lot of paper. My suggestion is for the IT/engineering team to create a new button called something like "Place name in Print Queue?". Then when I am all done w my research for that day, I can go to this "Print Queue" and print all the names out at once, saving a lot of paper by being able to print 3 names per page. Thoughts? Feedback?
