Please Make Enhancements More Minor--One Change at a Time
Hi,
I hate to complain, but the major changes made on the New Person Pages make doing family history more difficult for me. Old brains don't make adjustments quickly, so I'm struggling. I'm not certain whether the present enhancements include enough improvements to make it worth changing them for people who were used to the previous format and could whip through the work readily. I guess there's no way to get the old format back, so I'm sad.
Sorry. . .

ABSOLUTLEY AGREE New format is confusing to the eye, not a clean as the old. Where the heck are the ordnance lists?

At present, you still have the option (USE PREVIOUS VERSION at top right of page) to work with the old format.
However, this is likely to only last until early 2023, so we all need to adjust to the changes. Whilst it might seem overwhelming to make so many changes at one time, I believe it will be advantageous in this case. By the time the New Person Page becomes the only option, there should be little need for further changes.
Unlike previous enhancements, the developers have consulted with everyday users in an attempt to get a finished product that will work well - once we have adjusted to the format itself. Hopefully, there will be a period of stability following the full implementation of the new page(s), so we won't have to worry about constant revisions. In other words, best to get this all sorted in "one go", rather than not knowing (over a far longer period) when the next change is going to be made.

Just so you know, the team working on the new Person page is also actively watching and reviewing feedback from users posting in the community.

Another suggestion, as you are fighting through these new changes, is to write out what you are attempting to do and where along the path you are getting stuck. The team is actively seeking feedback around this area right now, so being specific about what your attempting to do, and what is confusing may help them catch something they missed. Granted, change is almost always difficult, but outlining specifics can go a long way.
