search box
Please put the search box at the top of the page front and center not to the right side and down. Why put "what do you want to share about your family?" front and center??????

I suppose FamilySearch could allow users to have Home page Layout Settings much like the new Person page Layout Settings - but top-center or off-to-right - it's not that far...
The share post area on the home page is a fairly new social networking feature
- and allows you to share Images, text or URLs with Friends, Family Groups, Custom lists, with only yourself, or make a Public post. The above blog post references these posts being easier to interact with Facebook and Whatsapp websites. Collaborating via social networks and Searching are probably among the top uses of FamilySearch - so it makes sense they are visible at the top of the home page. If you are a new user - signing up for a new FamilySearch account - you will see the options of signing in with Facebook of Church of Jesus Christ account:
I do not see an option for manually connecting WhatsApp or Facebook. But you can socially share links to Memories:

I have my FS home page set to be the search page. On both Firefox and Chrome, you can edit your often-used websites on your New Tab:

I usually do not check my FamilySearch Profile (not FamilySearch Community) settings very much - but I did and found where to manually enter Facebook/Whatsapp information:
I don't use either - but thought I would share this here to update my previous post. I can only assume that if users do include this contact information - it may provide for some integration of posts to either platform (users of these platforms would need to comment).
