Corrected computer indexed records aren't saving properly

I've been correcting records that have been indexed by a computer for a couple of weeks now in the 'Get Involve' part of the site and I'm getting a bit nervous as it seems all of the changes aren't being saved. I really hope this isn't the case because that would be hours of work wasted :(

Anyone else experiencing this or know if this is the case?

I volunteered to correct some place names. After I changed them to the standard I looked up the person and the change was not there One example is MYKC-9ZX. It shows Volunteer Project but the place name hasn't changed.

My experience making corrections to 1950 Computer Index was not good. I must have inadvertently deleted my grandfather and could not correct the mistake (UNDO). It just kept giving me a message that he was like permanently deleted. If anyone has a suggestion, or work around, please let me know. Of course, Gramps is still on the original census document, thank goodness.
