Where did my older messages go?

I refer to many older messages in FamilySearch to review info from others or to use it to contact people I have discussed family research, but it appears that I can no longer go back more than 1 year. Is there a way to retrieve these older messages? If I had known that they would be going away I would have found a way to copy them so they wouldn't be lost. Please tell me there is a way to recover or view the messages.

I'm able to scroll back to messages from 2016.

@LoriNelson17 are you looking at the listing of messages on the left column? You might click on the one at the bottom so you can see the entire date, as in the above illustration. Only the day and month is shown in the column, so you'll need to access the complete message to see the year.

Mine are available back to 2016 also....

Assuming the other respondents were using the messaging facility prior to 2016, perhaps we can only view our last so-many messages - i.e. based on number (sent / received), rather than age. I suggest this as I can read messages back to 2015, so there appears to be inconsistency between different users' accounts.

Thank you for your responses! I am seeing back to 2015 also. The communication with the person I am looking for was around 2018. Perhaps the other person that I was conversing with deleted the messages. Would that cause it to disappear from MY feed?
