New format needs to be changed back

I agree. Although there may be a few things that are a little bit nicer like the blue and red headers for the couple, for the most part I find it very difficult to view and thus use. The right hand column is way too large, the old one was perfect. It contained all of the same information in about 1/4 of the space. The font is too thin and small especially for us old timers who are most likely in the majority doing research. I don't need to know when the last change was done and by whom on every single field. It is so prominent and with the added blank space around it overshadows the main data. If I need to know I can always go to the Latest Changes in the right hand column. Much simpler. There is so much blank space that it takes over the whole page and stretches out all of the pertinent data so that we have to spend all of our time scrolling up and down especially since it now has much less width so that so many lines have to wrap down especially on place names. By only showing what information has been entered it no longer reminds us of what information is missing or the difference between birth and blessing or baptism dates or death and burial dates. I agree that we need to have the ability to go back to the old format if it works better for us. Not all of us prefer vanilla. Some of us really like chocolate. Please give us the chance to choose. We don't want to discourage anyone from contributing and sharing their knowledge and expertise just because of a difference of opinion over the optics of page format.

I TOTALLY AGREE. PLEASE stop making all these changes. I spend every say doing FH and I get so tired of seeing so many changes. I will have to stop doing FS as I cannot work with all of these changes. Many will agree. THANK YOU!!

I 100% AGREE AS WELL. I also work full time on family search and am finding it difficult to use. Not user friendly at all. Please put it back. And also quit making changes. Those of us that are working with it full time and probably senior citizens. Thank You

My daughter is just learning family history and these changes are putting her in doubt that she wants to keep up with it. The plain and simple way is so much easier for young and old. PLEASE go back and let the work move forward smoothly with the format over a year ago even.

Where's the link to use the old format?

I would go back 2 also. A lot easier to extract from the other census records and fix things. Also why isn't the find a grave able to finish up the link or the marriage records. Those two things would be most helpful.
Thanks

Was wondering if there was a way when you add your resources , they do link to the sources quickly, Thank you for that! But When you go forward or backwards there still there until you maybe need to do a merge! I can't tell if I have already added them or not. Continually checking back into it.
Thanks

I used this site actively a few years ago up until the new format was introduced. It is so frustrating!!!. I occasionally come back here when I have exhausted my other search sites but after a few minutes I just abandon it because it is not user friendly. I have to wonder if the IT people that made the change have any comprehension of what it like to be a user and whether they take any notice of the comments. Come back to the original version, all will be forgiven. Thank you

I have been away from this site for several months. But what used to be an east navigational experience is now very difficult. It seems that the more options that you add in order to locate someone the farther the site takes you away from the location that you want to search. Bring back the previous format
