    Hi Barbara,

I did and accidentally sent the message before I wrote the question, but I think I figured it out.

I was wondering who the principle person was and I noticed at at the top of the marriage record that it stated females. The first name recorded was a female and the second was male and I thought maybe the principal person would be the male and spouse be the female until I saw that it was female records. Is that correct?

    Thank you, Shirley

The principal person is the first person listed, regardless of sex.
