In the attached screen shot the mortgagee appears to be a Trust; should it be recorded as an organization or as an individual? Further, I would like help deciphering the Trust name. What I see is John B Exor & Trus of Alfred M or Trus.

You will index this as two individual entries. The first entry will be John B. Bull and the second entry will be Alfred M. Bull. We do not index the word "trus". According to the Project Instructions:

    • When typing the name of the grantor or grantee, do not include descriptive words or terms, such as "by Atty," "et al," or "and spouse," that may have been written with the name.

As indexers, there's nothing we can do to decipher what the trust name was. We index what we see and abide by the Project Instructions.

And if the Trust is the name of a company index it in the "Mortgager Corporation or Organization Name" field.
