1950 US Census record shows 403 - Record access denied.
On Garland Dorsey Tuggle LD98-XRD shows the 1950 Census record hint but will not allow it to be attached. It has been attached to his wife but the name needs to be corrected to show Tuggle as the married name rather than Dorsey which is her husband's middle name.
Let me know what needs to be done in order to correct this problem.

I receive a message that there is a problem in attaching the 1950 census to some of my family members in Utah that are deceased

Same problem I'm having. Hasn't seemed to improve in the last few days. Hoping someone is trying to fix the problem. Every time I try to a attach all family members it seems like one won't attach with an "error linking to source" error notice.

I haven't encountered this myself (no family in any of the completed states), but on other Community threads, people have been saying that it's caused by the 1949 residence field. If you don't try to bring that over, then the census attaches just fine.
(Only something like one in six people got that question, hence why it can seem so random.)

I have hints listed in my account. When I try to review the hints I receive the message 403-Record Access Denied. It seems as if all of the hints are from the 1950 Census. This has been an issue for @ the past 7-10 days.

@ShariceBenson1, I'm sorry that you're seeing this problem. In order to be able to better assist you, could you provide a URL link that would allow us to see the 403 error message?
Thanks.

Here is a link with the same 403-Record Access denied on 1950 census hint

Do we have an answer for this yet? I am having the same problem.

Trying to add these hints to relations in my family tree mostly this Message: ^*[We're unable to show this record to you.
^*This record can only be displayed on certain accounts. FamilySearch must honor the agreements we have with our partners, record owners, and internal policies.]
Well, very few times am I able to add 1950 Census records as a source. 90% of the time I get this message, Above. ^* I talked with one of the Representatives at Headquarters and they told me of the many technical glitches you are expirenceing. That's understandable that trouble would arise from a new project. - To save most of us from the aggravation of stating to member users that they're account cannot display the census record,- WHY don't you list a message on the cover page or when we go into HINTS Stating: *(We are having problems with the 1950 Federal Census hints in our recommended tasks.) This would be greatly appreciated.

Or they could just stop recommending the 1950 census hints until issues are resolved.

I would say that 80-90% of the 1950 census hints in Southern New Jersey which I've tried won't display. It would be respectful of the user base to get an official response from FS on the topic.

This is beyond aggravating. Either the 1950 census was ready or it wasn't. We are all getting the "access denied" message to many of the recommended "hints" for the 1950 Census. Occasionally one link will work - it is in the same state, county, town, where others are denied. Makes no sense.

I am starting to see 1950 Census records in Research Help, but when I click on the link, it says, "! 403 - Record access denied." Why is that? Here are two examples:

I'm having difficulty with the 1950 census, too. Every time I find the 1950 Census as a suggested 'Research Help', click on it in an attempt to attach it to the family it just won't load. I get the" error linking to source" notice right there on the person page.

Same Here.

Same problem here. The original post in the thread was made 10 days ago. I see no explaination or resolution!

Tried to attach 1950 census record and received notice: see right hand column

Just post the PIDs since the images aren't showing.

I'm also getting this error a lot. It seems there is a lot of issues with attaching the new 1950 census, which is disappointing after all of the work indexing it.

I’m getting an error message, 403, when trying to attach the 1950 census record to several family members. If this being worked on?

I am Having the same issue.

Here's an example: Charles Truett Waldo GSXS-LBG

I am seeing the same error on about half of the family members that have the 1950s census available to attach.

I tried it on both the old and new home pages thinking it would make a difference but it's just a different error message. On the old home page, it's error message 403. On the new home page, it's "This record can only be displayed on certain accounts. FamilySearch must honor the agreements we have with our partners, record owners, and internal policies."

Also seeing this, clearing cookies and cache for familysearch.org did not resolve the problem.

Another example: PID: LVPL-XHH

I too am seeing this. But not with all 1950 census hints in Chicago area. If I do a search for the person and click on the 1950 census, it tells me it can't show me the record:
"We're unable to show this record to you. This record can only be displayed on certain accounts. FamilySearch must honor the agreements we have with our partners, record owners, and internal policies."

I have the same problem for 1950 Census. 90+% of the time I get the access denied message. It looks like Family Search didn't test this release adequately. I would feel better it they disable the 1950 census hint until they fix the problem.

There have been many unanswered posts on this topic. It would be greatly appreciated if this matter could be escalated for an answer and resolution.
Any mod, please!

Do a search on either 403 or 1950 census. Many, many patrons are reporting this issues. Not one thread states it has been reported to engineering. We did all this work getting the 1950 census working, but we cannot attached it to our relatives 90% of the time. Here is a small sample of individuals from my tree that have a 1950 census record hint that cannot be viewed because of a 403 error:
