Margaret doesn't know her password and has no email address.

I think that somebody used their own email address to help and that person is now deceased.

How can Margaret gain access to her own FS account please?

Hi Welcome to Family Search Community. With regards to recovering her password, Margaret should go to Family Search, click on the circle with the question mark at the upper right and then contact us. Chose the appropriate area for where she lives and schedule an appointment. At the appointment, they will be able to help recover her account. Thanks.

Thanks, but is there another way? Margaret does not use computers. Can I do it for her as her helper? She does not have an email account and has limited use of a mobile phone.

Yes you can help her do it but she needs to be with you and available on the phone to verify her account. You could schedule the appointment or make the phone call if phone support is available in your area. Just make sure it is a time when you and Margaret can be together.

Just been reminded of this - phone support is not available in the UK. How can I help Margaret? I have to sign in as her helper each time.

Hi Julie - Yes, I realize direct phone support is not available in the UK. But schedule an appointment is and that works like a phone call. So schedule an appointment for a time both of you can be able. When you joint the meeting, you will be speaking to a Family Search representative. Hope this helps.
