Why is my ancestor's information listed as Read Only and how do I change it?

My great grandfather Lewis M Grant KWD1-MX4, is listed as Lewis McKeachie Grant with a read only status. His middle name is not McKeachie, just the initial M. How can I get rid of the Read Only status so I can change it back to M?

For some reason FamilySearch changed it to McKeachie on Jan 18, 2014.
