To help maintain an accurate genealogical record of the human family, use the sex recorded at birth. Record any later sex or gender-related changes as custom life events in the Other Information section.

If your family member is living, why not ask directly?

Cindy is referring to the article at https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-record-gender-or-sex-changes-in-family-tree.
There is no "label" that I can find where you can indicate gender. FamilySearch seems only to have the option to record the sex (Male / Female / Unknown). However, (sex) "Unknown" is invalid for an individual who had a spouse and/or was a parent.
Apart from that, just follow the advice provided in the other responses.

If this person is alive, I recommend not putting any information in FamilySearch at all.
