Example: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:DDTN-8RMM

Event Place (Original): Nygaards Skolehus, Askøy, Hordaland.

Nyaard in Askøy is not in the Places Database yet. However, the auto-standardization routine focused on Nygaard and picked a Nygarden in a completely different community to get:

Event Place: Nygarden, Kvam, Hordaland, Norge.

The communities of Askøy and Kvam are 280 miles apart. The routine should have recognized that Nygaard, Askøy, was not in the database and gone up one level to Askøy rather than ignoring it and at worst changed the event place to Askøy, Hordaland, Norge.

Deleting information and making people go find it is probably better than changing information and having people think wrong information is correct.
