adding documents, photos and memories to a relative's record
Greetings! I have recently been scanning several letters, photos and also my grandfather's Journal. I'm having a hard time figuring out the best way to upload these items. I have several questions about this.
1- I broke up my grandfather’s journal into segments of quarter years. I tried to upload Jan-Mar 1972 as a PDF, but the file is too large. Can you suggest how a PDF of around 100MB can best be handled or how I should be attempting to share this document? (Also, what's the largest size of PDF allowed?)
I suppose, in theory, I could break it up into days or weeks and post these separately. But this seems to me an awful lot of work, and frankly, I don't have time to do this. If you could suggest something else I'd appreciate it. ** *** **
2- My sister has uploaded a lot of photos to my father and mother's profiles. But there are so many, it's difficult to figure out how to find any of them. Is there a way to sort by date or in some other way? ** *** **
3- Is there any sort of video or document that I could reference to learn the basics of adding documents to a relative's record? This would probably be the best place for me to start of something like that exists. I need to get a handle on what exactly is meant by 'source', etc., and what kinds of documents can be uploaded and the best ways to order them to accommodate ease of searching. ** *** **
Thanks in advance!

Good questions, and thank you for posting them here in Community.
First, PDF is the format you will want to use for a book. The following brief article gives you some parameters for what to expect and how to use an uploaded PDF.
The limit on the number of Memories that can be attached to any one person is 1000. Each PDF has a limit of 15MB.
You will see in this following article instruction about how to upload a PDF document.
We hope these articles are useful to you in your efforts to add your grandfather's journal to Memories.
Best of success to you and please let us know if we can be of further help.

If the content of the journal is suitable for public viewing, you could upload the journal as a Community Text at the Internet Archive (archive.org)
The link to "more information" doesn't seem to work, try this one https://help.archive.org/help/category/archive-org/uploading/
"Currently, there is no limit on the size of files nor the number of files. However, from a systems perspective, we do not recommend files larger than 50 GBs to be uploaded", so 100MB is well within the limit. (From the article Uploading-Tips)
