I have also been receiving this message since 10th October. I've tried viewing images on two FamilySearch-approved browsers (Firefox and Google Chrome) that are both the most recent versions. I have cleared cookies, cache and recent browsing history. Waiting and trying again later doesn't help either. I have signed out and signed back in using both options (i.e. 2 weeks and unspecified). Still no joy.

Hello Jordan, Dan & Mike,
I'm having the same problem. I've had this problem for 3 or 4 months, but today it's ongoing. See my comment from earlier today (10/10). For the past 5 hours I haven't been able to access ANY database images, from the catalog or from the individual profiles in the Family Tree. I too, use Firefox, but I've used Chrome & IE, at an affiliate library & it was still an issue... albeit, more occasional then today's consistency.
Thanks for letting me know that I'm not alone with issue
May "tech support" figure out an answer.
Best,
Steven

@JordanGruzin, @DanCaserza, @Mike Ducray, @StevenMartin61,
I understand that you are having difficulty viewing images: the system may freeze up for long periods of time preventing you from seeing the next image; you see an error message, "Error Loading Image;" or you may see some other error, such as Error 429 - and with all these, you are unable to view the image.
We really need your help, as these problems are not always able to be reproduced. Therefore, we ask that you provide as much information as possible: (1) what film are you viewing, (2) how are you trying to view the images, e.g., are you viewing image-by-image or did you try to go to a single, known image number; (3) after how many images did you see the problem; (4) please provide a screen-shot of the specific error message that you see. The more information that we have, the sooner we will be able to fix the problem.
Finally, if you are only reporting that you are seeing a similar problem; unless it is in the same film number as reported by another guest; please start a new discussion. If you are commenting on the specific problem reported by another, or adding information for their specific comment; then go ahead and add that in the same discussion.
We understand that this problem is causing a lot of frustration and we apologize for it. With your help, we hope to be able to resolve it.

The problem appears to have resolved, at least for me.

The inability for an image to load has been happening now for 3 days. Have tried logging out and back in and to no avail. I thought it might be the "Ferguson" files only, but have tried other files and is still happening.

Yes, A continuing, six month problem, at least, that the engineers are supposed to be working on....
Deeply frustrating.

I keep getting this "trouble loading images try again later message." Even after only looking through 10-15 images. Started two days ago and I've tried everything including clearing cookies, rebooting computer. I cannot possibly hope to find a record I'm looking for this ongoing glitch in the system.

I can tell you that it always happens to me when I'm scrolling through something page by page. It doesn't matter what the record is.

I agree, this has been going on for months now. Support is no help. They are only quoting from their help files, but not pushing it to the tech guys. Image loads partially, stays blurry. Unable to read. Cleared cache, tried different browsers same problem keeps coming back. And no it is not just one film. Multiple films from different locations have all the same problem.
Latest film is Amsterdam death records index https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-C3MC-VS3L-C?i=2307&cat=249698

I can only look at 34-35 images at a time and then it makes me wait. I can't even browse through a year of births without having to stop several times. It's not related to how busy the server is because it happens all the time no matter what time of day or night it is. I think somebody has limited the downloads because if I log in under a different username, the problem is fixed for another 35 images and then it stops.
Right now I'm stuck here...

Yes, the "Error Loading" message has been coming up often. I often get it when I'm browsing a microfilm at our local library (an affiliate library). The duration of time can be several minutes before the image might be viewable, and sometimes it's frozen for good and I just exit and l log in again and start over. It doesn't seem to matter if I'm browsing image by image or typing in an image number to advance ahead, or whether I'm downloading one image or have downloaded several. I also get the same experience on my desktop computer at home. In all cases, I've cleared cache and downlaods but it doesn't seem to make a change. Everything on your site is just so amazing and I'm grateful for the privilege of using it, but the "Error Loading" is certainly frustrationg.

The engineers made some changes to this. Has anyone in this post had this issue in the last 30 days?
