Working with deleted files

I have been working on my great grandfather information ( This is happening to others as well). While I was working on his information I had to merge 1 file to another that has information such as ordinations. When I call up his name the deleted file pops up and then I have to click again to get the un deleted information. Why can't this flip and show the not deleted file first and the deleted files after.

Where are you clicking to go to his page? That is, from where are you "calling it up"? As you can see, the deleted pages are not really deleted, just archived, and can still be accessed by the ID number. If you are using the ID for the surviving page, that is the page that should come up.
