Errata in a record in Mexico, México, Civil Registration, 1861-1941
Indexed civil death record for "Joaquina Fiesco", https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QGQC-3KLQ , is actually a death record for her child Fabian Ramirez. I could change the name with the "Edit" function, but I don't see any way to change the spouse-of-deceased into father-of-deceased or add a missing-as-indexed mother-of-deceased.
(I also just noticed that all the records on this and the next image have wrong death dates in 1903 rather thatn 1904; but I can fix that with "Edit", and will.)

FS's index-editing function doesn't extend to relationships, nor does it allow you to add or delete people or entries, so this indexing error cannot be fully corrected.
However, there is another characteristic of the function that you can use to your advantage: it adds to the database. It does not remove the existing entries (no matter how erroneous). This means that if you correct the deceased's name from Joaquina to Fabian, the entry for Joaquina with spouse Francisco will still be in the database, and both names will show on the index detail page (using a little drop-down arrow). This makes it somewhat more likely that the index will eventually serve its purpose: the record will eventually be found.
Of course, if you know who the record goes with in Family Tree, you can just bypass the whole index-correction question and attach the records to the correct profiles, explaining the corrections in the Notes/Description field of the citations.
