How do you put a person's record into Family Search when you don't know their parents?

    Under Recents you can Add Unconnected Person

    You do not need parents to add a person to Family Tree. Add the person to whoever you can. A situation that sometimes occurs is that you discover a sibling of one of your ancestors without knowing the parents of the two siblings. As you will want to create a link between the two records, adding an unconnected person in that situation is possible but not ideal unless you expect to identify at least one parent quickly. Two options in such a situation

    1. Add a record for a father with just a surname. This is not an ideal solution as it creates a random record.
    2. A better solution is to add the new person via the Other Relationship section at the bottom of the details page. For more information see https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/add-other-relationships
