I am not the original person to submit the question but I am a stake consultant and frustrated to see the institution ancestry is gone and for non-members using our center they keep getting hit to buy access to databases that I, as a member can access, but only on my personal computer. Thus, I am the user computer for many to access databases that were offered free thru our center. What is going on with this?

I am not connected with FamilySearch
Previously there has been a comment, I think from someone with authority, that the above Wiki page is always the most up to date information.
It lists Ancestry-Institution version as available through the Portal, so perhaps your computers are not set up properly?
If you are in North America you may get more authoritative information if you Look at the topics and other information available in the Group
FamilySearch Center Technical Support
https://community.familysearch.org/en/group/76-familysearch-center-technical-support and if necessary ask your question there.

I would like to see an addition to this page which indicates which websites are available at local Family History Centres. The list on the page includes sites only available at the Family History Library so it is confusing for Leaders of local centres.
For instance we do not have Newspapers.com and several other sites.
I know it tells you when you click the link for each portal premium database but it would be nice to have a list on the main page as well.
Thanks

I still get Ancestry institution free on the portal. Used it last week. Anyone else having that access problem? Perhaps it's a settings issue. I know the portal is touchy and has to be set up "just right" to access Ancestry.

In recent weeks, all of our FSCs (now officially FamilySearch Centres) have taken on the use of Internet connection using a Public IP address. One of the benefits of this is that the Portal Extension, which allows access to premium websites and film images, works and function much better than it did with the previous 10.xxx static IP address configuration. Access is smoother and much more consistent now.
