new person page and 'FEEDBACK'
It is more difficult to read and the so-called feedbak button is a trap.
it leads you to a forum instead of offering a simple form to enter what you want to say about the new stuff
not anmused

I agree! I have found incorrect information on a new person page showing a timeline. As an example I know the burial place, the correct source is attached to the person yet the timeline shows burial in Montana USA. NOT Toronto, Ontario Canada.
It is definitely an error and therefore I think something is going wrong in accurately obtaining the info.
If this is the case, how many more errors might there be????
I just want to inform family search of the error, not join a discussion group.

@tom9549, the New Person Page Group is where you post issues & comments relating to the new person pages. Joining the group is no big deal just click a couple of buttons. I highly recommend this group for new person page issues. https://community.familysearch.org/en/group/316-new-person-page
@Janedsmith, you would be better serviced by posting in the Family Tree category rather than the Suggest An Idea category. https://community.familysearch.org/en/categories/family-tree
In any event your issue sounds more like an incorrectly standardized place problem rather than a new person page issue. Check the standardized place names for your places. I bet you will find that the burial place may display as Toronto but is incorrectly standardized as Montana. Can you post the PID of that person?

Feedback is not a trap. If you read through that forum you will see it is a highly active and very useful feedback group that has pointed out a lot of things needing improvement, as well as down right bugs, that have been quite quickly improved and corrected.
You do need to join the group before you can post comments.

Need to report that Timeline is reporting data incorrectly. For my own profile, it has my city and state correct, but displays the wrong county. The documents in question have the right county, but the timeline ignores that and displays something else.

@Bonnie Cresap, as Chas Howell explained above to someone back in October, the Timeline is probably simply pointing out an incorrectly-standardized place conclusion.
For example, if the Timeline is showing the wrong county for your birthplace, go to your Details page, find your birthplace where it's entered in the Vitals box, and hover your mouse cursor over it. A little box will display, showing the background value that has been associated with the displayed text.
If the place in that box is incorrect, then you can correct it by clicking the pencil (edit) button. In the resulting popup, click in the Birthplace box, then choose the reddish text at the top of the drop-down to keep the displayed place unchanged. Now click the Standard Place drop-down; it should show some options that match the displayed place. Choose the appropriate one, and click Save.
