Can we pleased be advised when there are significant changes made in Family Tree or FamilySearch?
There are at least two issues that are confusing users at this time.
Firstly, the one in Family Tree involving the person who appears when signing in now being the last person who was viewed before last signing out. Quite simple to get back to "yourself", of course, one just clicks on the Home icon. Except, there was no warning of this change and no reason why many users ( especially the inexperienced) should find the solution so "obvious".
Secondly, there appears to have been a change whereby an "Exact" search is now considerably less likely to produce a list of results "exactly" matching the inputted search detail. After arguing so strongly that (apart from a few stray results at the bottom of a results list) checking the Exact match boxes does work, it appears that I no longer have evidence for this.
My comments are not so much connected to the issues themselves, but meant to be illustrative of the problems caused for users when the engineers make changes without any announcement.
Perhaps some of the changes are bugs, or were not meant to be implemented in a certain way. But, how do we know if the engineers will not communicate with us - either before or after their changes?
