Attaching pictures to profile Page
After I have transferred pictures from outside source to the Memories, and then transferred them to the Persons profile Circle, I "often", not always, find the picture too large to reduce according to the scale provided. The picture becomes a large pair of eyes instead of a face portrait. If when trying to attach a Headstone, I am only able to capture a small portion of the stone.
Is there any way to provide a scale that will reduce the picture small enough to fit within the circle allowed on the profile and tree?
Thankyou,
Linda K Miller Nabors

can you provide an ID of some examples?

This would take a bit of computer know how but you can open your photo in an editing program (such as PhotoShop or Microsoft Picture Manager Office Picture Manager) and then scale down the size of that file. However, be certain to save that scaled down file under a different name. You will want to retain the original file as well and not over write it with the scaled down version. Then upload the scaled down file to Family Search and use it rather than the larger file.

thats why Im confused and want to look at an example
the size of the image should have no impact . . . (at least thats what I thought)

In the profile portrait editor, the slider beside the portrait is counterintuitive. Simply drag it in the other direction.

If you are referring to the dragging to change the position of the circular "lens" on the image - yeh it can be.
if you realize, though, that what you are dragging is the underlying photo and not the lens - then it is quite intuitive
but yes - many people assume they are dragging the lens focus and they move it the wrong way.

but I am confused by the original comment of pictures being "too big"
would be interested in seeing an example of an item that seems too big.
