Editing a close family member as living that had been marked as deceased

I found a a close family member (my mother in law) and she is marked as deceased, but is indeed living. I edited the record and requested it to be changed to living but have received no response and the record has not been changed.

What is happening? Do I just need to wait?

It can take a few days before it gets changed to living. How long have you been waiting?

@Gordon Collett I've been waiting about a week.

Who is reviewing my request? Seems very unclear who is reviewing it and what the expectations are here.

    Thanks

As I understand it, when you click the button to change to living, fill out the form, and submit it, it does go to a team at FamilySearch who reviews the form and your submitted evidence, then they update the record. How long it takes will depend on how busy they are. I'd probably give it another week and if still hasn't changed post here again where a moderator will see it and maybe be able to get an actual expected time for you.

Its now been several weeks and the record has not been updated. My family member is still shown as deceased. How can I get some help from an "administrator"? This is kinda frustrating.

Is there a reason you can't fix it yourself? I found a record for a family member who was alive at the time and the record indicated he was deceased. I simply edited it myself. It was fixed in 3 seconds - and vanished from view as I was not the one who created the record.

No I cant. I make the edit and then I get a message that it needs to be approved by "someone" but not sure who
