Does there need to be a beta category?

For example, I have a request for the beta site that I don't know whether is feasible:

The New Person Page> Life Summary depends upon various data - from Details mainly I believe. Is it possible to have the beta site update those changes immediately so that users can test what changes would affect Life Summary?

From posts in the new pages group, I was under the impression that the Life Summary on the new About tab updates immediately but have never really checked. So to test this right now:

Does cause the Life Summary to immediately update:

I can't test this beta right now because the beta site doesn't seem to be up and running right now. If this does not work on the beta site, I wonder if they are not updating the beta since they are working hard on updating the actual production site version.

@Gordon Collett The internal server error appears to just be fluff - it still allows me to login and use the beta site.

I am specifically testing whether the Details> Other Information> Events> Occupation, Residence and Other Relationships are reflected in Life Summary. So far I have seen a Residence change gets updated immediately as well. I thought the About> Life Summary was on a slower schedule...maybe that's changed and I missed the announcement?

Back when New Person Pages were called Discovery Pages they used to update periodically:

It does appear that the blog has updated and removed the information about the Discovery Pages content only updating periodically.

Results of testing Occupation, Residence and Other Relationships upon Life Summary:

• When there are multiple Occupations listed it is unclear to me how the About> Life Summary includes Occupation - therefore you have to edit the one that is reflected in Life Summary... changes only occur if you edit the one included (I only see one on the Life Summary I tested today).
• When there are multiple residences - again it is unclear what criteria is used to include any in Life Summary. Editing ones that seem specifically included resulted in changes immediately.
• I did not see Life Summary update to reflect Other Relationships> Slavery (in particular - this relationship would probably be the one to test IF it were to affect Life Summary).
