Indexing cremation records - what is the record day?

Is the record day the same as the day of written authority to cremate, date of burial order, or something else? Thank you.

    There is no record date on these type of batches. Please refer to the third example in the project instructions.

    @ericadawn_1 In this batch, Surnames are listed first so you would index the first line as

    Surname: Richardson Given Name: Robin Peter Age: 64 Sex: Male Death Date: 22 Feb 2010 and for the Burial Date- use Cremation Date 4 Mar 2010 Cemetery Name: Johannesburg Mark all other fields (Birthdates, Record dates) <Blank>

    Thank you! The example had no record date, so I wasn't sure what it would look like if it was actually listed so I appreciate your help.
