I am indexing land records and they all have Book and Page numbers. What is the reason for including this information? Can this recorded document be found some where that we have access to via the internet??

What is included in indexing is decided by the owner of the document. We can only guess what their reasoning is. It may be that the record can be found. When the indexing is completed the researcher can check the source perhaps to find where to go next.
