Reviewing entry 20. There is a line running through the recorded data. The indexer listed it and I'm wondering if it should be extracted or ignored.

The general guidelines for that situation is if a name is crossed out and replaced with a new name, index the new name. If the name is crossed out and not replaced, index the crossed out name if you can read it. If you can't read it mark the field blank.

On any batch you pull up to index/review there are project instructions that you can click on and read at the bottom of the area that the blanks or data is. Also when you click on any blank a purple question mark will show up. Click on that and information on that specific line will show up.

@LaurieSomes, feel free to ask questions. I remember what it was like as a newbie. I didn't have this; I had to rely on feedback on my batches from reviewers. The first batch I ever did, Alabama World War II Draft Cards, was full of errors, but I steadily learned. Unfortunately, almost every project will have something that is not covered under the PI or Field Help. Even if you think "this is probably the dumbest question ever", go ahead and ask. Better be safe than sorry.

I have used the purple question mark a great deal, but it seems as though every batch has one problem that is not answered in these instructions, such as a line through the entry data. Well, I'm learning and I do appreciate everyone's help on FS Indexing community.
